Modernas Bioanalytics team is looking for a Scientist with hands-on experience in bioanalytical mass spectrometry, processing and analysis of wide range of molecules such as proteins, peptides, lipids, glycans, mRNA etc. The role will be supporting method development, qualification, sample analysis for non-clinical studies of therapeutic development candidates. Candidate will apply cutting-edge LC/MS techniques towards mechanistic and quantitative assessment of Modernas mRNA therapeutics. Here's What Youll Do:
Perform hands on Method development, method optimization, fit-for-purpose qualification and sample analysis for various types of biomolecules, particularly proteins, peptides and lipids
Hands on experiences in working and applying LC/MS on oligonucleotides
Coordinate with external CROs on method development, qualification, validation and sample analysis to enable PK/PD and GLP Tox studies
Perform method transfer to internal and external stakeholders for qualification / validation
Review and author relevant protocols, and reports
Support nonclinical in-vivo studies to evaluate PK/TK, safety, and efficacy of Modernas drug candidates
Work closely with colleagues in clinical development organization as well as other cross-functional groups
Provide mass spectrometry support to scientists in Nonclinical, Platform, and other groups
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:
PhD with at least 0-2 / MS /5-8 BS/BA 8-10 years of industry experience
Demonstrated hands-on experience with mass spectrometry, preferably LC-MS/MS and high-resolution mass spectrometry
Experience with targeted LC/MS quantification
(preferred) Strong hands-on experience with developing and non-regulated qualification of LC-MS bioanalytical methods using various techniques (LLE, SPE and immunoprecipitation) in different non-clinical samples, such as serum, plasma, tissue, whole blood etc
(preferred) Experience with peptide mapping, glycan mapping, PTM analysis, protein intact mass analysis, lipid profiling, or related techniques
(preferred) Experience with analytical techniques such as LC, GC, CE, UV, fluorescence, CAD, ELSD, KF, DSC, CD, NGS, Sanger, etc.
(preferred) Ability to develop and implement methods for high throughput or (semi-) automated data analysis
Willingness to learn new concepts and challenge boundaries; adaptability to change
Organization and attention to detail; ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong interpersonal skills with an eagerness to work with and support colleagues in other departments
Proven ability to develop and work independently and to collaborate cross-functionally to accomplish goals in a timely manner
Experience in interfacing with CROs
