About the Department
Our Boston Research & Development hub, anchored in the greater Boston area, brings together the best minds in life science innovation. The teams located in facilities in Lexington, Watertown and Cambridge reflect the full R&D continuum, from early research through late-stage clinical development. Here, we are building for the future, creating a distinct R&D community based on collaboration, partnerships, and cutting-edge research across multiple modalities and therapeutic areas. We recognize that improving human health starts here and that patients rely on us. Our greater Boston R&D hub merges biotech speed and agility with large pharmaceutical company quality, resources, and stability, uniting the best of both worlds to develop new medicines for patients.
We are seeking an individual to fill the Scientist I role as it is a key member of Oligonucleotide In-Vivo Pharmacology teams. The candidate will engage in multiple research and discovery efforts that aim to develop therapeutics to treat patients with rare and common diseases. We are seeking a highly skilled scientist with experience in target identification capable of identifying mechanism-of-action and conducting pharmacology studies. This position will involve hands on work in vivo and in vitro models of disease. Outcome measures will include a wide range of molecular and cell biology assays. The successful candidate will interact closely with members of the Oligonucleotide In-Vivo Pharmacology team and other groups within Novo Nordisk. You will apply your expertise in animal models and deep understanding of molecular and cellular biology to study hepatic and extrahepatic diseases, play a key role in all phases of drug discovery and clinical development at Novo Nordisk.
