Lead and manage effective training programs, manage the establishment of the Quality system, policies, plans, and accreditation compliance. This position manages the execution of training strategy and will maintain functional area training plans while maintaining focus to improve program design, development, and delivery. A key partner with both internal and external stakeholders, the AD, Learning & Training drives innovation and adult learning best practices in managing all training programs across the site. The position is responsible for ensuring that operations are compliant with all applicable federal and state governmental regulations, HIPAA, as well as corporate and divisional guidelines.
Oversee the training department’s organization, administration, and supervision, ensuring effectiveness.
Represent decision-making authority for training, learning portfolios, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance programs.
Manage a comprehensive learning curriculum based on staff needs and anticipate business demands.
Implement consistent methodologies for training needs, course delivery, and training program evaluation/effectiveness measurements.
Partner with the Quality team to understand the needs of the overall Quality Systems (Doc Center, CAPA, Complaints, Exceptions, Metrics, Audits, change management) and alignment with AbbVie Operations.
Develop and maintain Call Center Quality standards and performance (Call monitoring, calibration, reporting, coaching) and partner with Commercial Brands for Rep Escalation and overall Quality reporting.
Lead training projects and programs, ensuring training is completed on-time, is effective, and generates pull through for key projects and initiatives.
Assist in matters associated with governmental/regulatory/insurance investigations, audits, and inspections.
Evaluate learning indicators, trends, data measures, and identify areas for improvement. Responsible for timely resolution of variance, incident, exception, and complaint issues.
Bachelor’s Degree in learning & development, organizational development, business, physical or life science, pharmacy, or related field.
Basic knowledge in Health Care or Pharmacy compliance requirements and insurance landscape.
Minimum 10 years program management/supervisory experience preferably in the Learning and Development space. Minimum 3 years in progressive leadership roles.
Strong communication and presentation skills required, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and large audience.
High degree of integrity and good judgment required to recognize inherent gray areas and sensitivity within compliance, personnel records, purchasing and accreditation standard requirements.
Must be adaptable, agile, and able to work in a dynamic environment with frequently changing rules and priorities.
Must be self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and able to complete projects with minimal supervision.
Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required
