In NC, we operate three pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities that are responsible for fulfilling different steps in our injectable and oral treatment supply chains. Our Emerging Technologies - Oral Finished Products facility in Durham, NC is a 194,000 square foot tableting and packaging facility that supports the production of our innovative oral treatments for patients with type 2 diabetes. OFP maintains a curious and pioneering spirit, harmonious with our growing pipeline of new products and emerging technologies.

Assist with the development of a reliability-based maintenance strategy, based on preventive & predictive maintenance. Plan & coordinate maintenance jobs & projects.
Reports to Manager, Fac, Util, Sys Equip (FUSE).
Essential FunctionsMaintain SAP master data & maintenance plans for assigned processesPrepare PM work packages for maintenance technicians to include required documents, parts & specialized toolsProcess confirmation of PMsWork with logistics & operations to schedule planned maintenance activitiesEvaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance tasks & frequenciesIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance tactics & strategiesReview work orders to identify recurring failuresSupports & actively participates in event response activities for the process. Documents problems & works to bring them rapidly to solutionDocument review to include Non-Conformity (NC) support, Change Request (CR) support & SOP reviewParticipation in plant Closedown Team planning & executionFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther accountabilities, as assigned
Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case by case basis based on the role.)
QualificationsAssociate’s degree in related field from an accredited university or equivalent industrial, military, or vocational training requiredMinimum of three (3) years maintenance experience required, preferably in a(pharmaceutical environmentKnowledge required in at least one of the following systems required: compressed air, steam, chilled water, pharmaceutical utilities, fermentation, sterilization, water purification & packagingExcellent maintenance craft skills preferred Knowledgeable in fundamentals of reliability excellence preferredExcellent computer skills preferred to include SAP & Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving & troubleshooting requiredAbility to think critically & sequentially with proven time management skills & attention to detail requiredDemonstrable experience with the planning of maintenance activities preferredExcellent communication skills required
