The Director, Global Payroll
reports to the Vice President, HR Operations and will lead the global payroll team to deliver timely and accurate payments to 50,000+ employees in over 60 countries. The Director will be responsible for identifying innovative ways to continuously improve our service delivery model and ensure the payroll organization is equipped for our growing and complex company. The incumbent will work with internal groups and 3rd party global payroll vendors to evolve support for payroll operations and related reporting. They will liaise with key global business partners to align support of upstream and downstream processes in HR and finance, respectively. This position will implement and monitor internal controls and maintain complete and current operating documentation.
Achieve operational excellence through a geographically and culturally diverse team of Payroll professionals.
Enhance the employee experience related to payroll and related benefit disbursements, coordinating across internal resources and third-party relationships.
Partner with the business, IT and third-party vendors to scope and implement new technology functionality; enhance existing processes and solutions.
Evaluate controls and compliance risks and remediate as required.
Maintain updated operational and controls documentation in compliance with global, federal, state, and local requirements.
Actively manage, monitor, and continually enhance the partnership with third party vendors.
Provide metrics and reporting to track performance of payroll processes, identification and remediation of issues, and enhancement of operational efficiencies.
Bachelors degree required.
10+ years of operational experience leading a global Payroll team, that is geographically dispersed.
Experience managing and monitoring third-party payroll providers.
Must have a history of creating and leading large, high performing teams
Demonstrated ability to identify and realize efficiencies by improving processes and leveraging technologies.
Strong understanding and ability to operationalize financial and operational controls.
- Working knowledge of multiple HR/payroll technology platforms, including Workday.
- International experience with multiple 3rd party payroll solution providers.
- Experience running in-house payroll operations.
