The Position

The Manager – Pricing & Contracting Insights - Mature Business Unit (MBU) assesses product and customer performance/post deal analytics for all mature products and identifies opportunities to alter/develop market / customer strategies to optimize market approach and managed markets strategies for the Mature Business Unit. This position is responsible for the analytical input into the development of world-class pricing strategies across the Mature BU portfolio, driving operational execution of the Mature BU strategy across F&O teams. This role develops and reports insightful metrics to relevant groups, contributing to manage markets strategy decisions, and will assists in developing patient level insights and analytics. The role will collaborate with supply chain colleagues to help determine appropriate level of supply and demand based on contracting decisions and market access strategies. It will also help provide guidance to FPA on pricing and contracting assumptions for our forecasts.

 

Relationships

This role reports to the Director, Pricing & Contracting Ops Lead- MBU. Works closely with Managed Markets Strategy, Market Access, Supply Chains, Finance, Commercial Effectiveness, and PCOR.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the development of analytical models for MBU products at the channel and market level for pricing & contracting strategies as they relate to our mature BU portfolio
  • Guides G2N outlook for Mature Business Unit based on the impact of pricing decisions on ARP/profitability
  • Serve as partner to the MAPA Mature BU to provide pricing analytics including post deal assessments and insights for strategy evaluation & guidance on future outlook
  • Collaborates with Supply Chain colleagues to ensure appropriate level of supply based on expected contracts and forecasted demand
  • Creates patient-longitudinal analyses, integrating formulary and payer level utilization databases to identify key market and patient trends to help support market access strategy. Including but not limited to Trx vs NBRx trends and patient behavior and switch analysis
  • Scan the market to understand key trends impacting the landscape and customers and integrate relevant data to support the development of analytical models
  • Experience analyzing pharmaceutical data, specifically Xponent, Xponent PlanTrak, NSP/NPA, and LAAD data. Experience with data visualization tools preferred
  • Works with Model N Claims data to create and evaluate post deal analytics

    Physical Requirements

    10-20% overnight travel required.

     

    Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required. Finance, Business, Statistics, Engineering, or related quantitative field preferred
  • A Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) is preferred
  • A minimum of 6 years managed markets analytics or relatable analytical experience with a Bachelor's degree is required; a minimum of 4 years is required with a relevant Master’s degree or MBA
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing IQVIA LAAD to deliver actionable managed markets insights    
  • Ability to lead without authority/reporting relationship required
  • Analytical and/or technical proficiency at analyzing large data sets to derive insights
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, environment, with a quality control focus and a documentation orientation
  • Creative problem-solving with ability to solve complex unstructured problems; see opportunities through         
  • Experience analyzing pharmaceutical data, specifically Xponent, Xponent PlanTrak, data is required. Experience with data visualization (i.e., Tableau) tools preferred
  • Innate intellectual curiosity, demonstrated desire to take initiative, and ability to think creatively to solve Outstanding team- and client-facing communication skills
  • Project management skills Quantitative analysis skills
  • Statistical programming experience (SAS) preferred
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as in teams
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills required
