Intern - Regulatory Operations, Submission Publishing Training

As a Gilead intern you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company's mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities and local community volunteer programs.

Job Summary:

As part of the Global Regulatory Operations publishing team, we have two exciting technical projects in the working: updating and maintaining the publishing resources on SharePoint and the integration of the Regulatory Information Management System (Veeva Vault RIM) and the project management platform (Smartsheet).

The intern will be among the first ones to test out these new systems and platforms that are becoming increasingly common in the industry and at the same time get the opportunity to explore the broader landscape of regulatory functions in relation to the Regulatory Operations submission publishing.

The ideal candidate must exhibit strong interest and ability of learning and using various computer systems, have good organizational skills and keen attention to details, and be able to collaborate and communicate well in a team environment. Most importantly, they should have a pleasant and positive attitude.

Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Work with the team members and support the above-mentioned projects.
  • Coordinate with global team members from different regions to ensure that the end-product fits the various different needs.
  • Conduct user interface tests to ensure smooth launches of the new tools.
  • Assist in documentations of user guides and training materials.
  • Showcase your work with a final poster board presentation near the conclusion of your internship.


Required Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited US-based university or college in either the junior or senior undergraduate year or a graduate students Master or Ph.D. program.
  • Pursuing a degree in Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacy, Graphic Design, Web Design, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Experience with successful delivery of presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with SharePoint Online, Office 365 (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Smartsheet, etc.
  • Must be enrolled in the Fall Semester at an accredited university/college after the completion of the internship.
  • Must be able to complete a 10-12 consecutive week internship between May and August.
  • Must be able to relocate if necessary and work at the designated site for the duration of the internship.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to internal and external clients
  • Educational background or concentration in technical/scientific majors preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Regulatory Affairs and Operations a plus

The expected hourly range for this position is $19.00 - $55.00.

Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including education level and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.

Benefits include paid company holidays, sick time, and housing stipends for eligible employees.
