The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's Research Triangle region is home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center is a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation, and technology optimization.

The IT Employee Experience Success Specialist serves as the employee experience, adoption, and change management specialist for small to medium sized employee productivity initiatives from IT to the company. This person will identify the current and future state capabilities/uses, understand the behavioral changes and education needed to complete the transition, and develop and execute the communication/marketing plan for driving a positive end user experience and adoption amongst employees. This role is part of a team that functions as an internal agency with creative talent including strategy, graphic design, and copywriting to support large-scale transformation initiatives and promote adoption of technologies throughout the company. The primary focus of this role is on the people side of technological changes and driving employee impact, maximizing acceptance, and increasing user adoption.

Essential Duties and Job Functions

This role will be highly-collaborative - this person should expect to maintain relationships with IT Employee Experience team members, program leads, key Gilead leaders, and various business functions. Duties include, but are not limited, to:
  • Contribute to the preparation of creative, strategic, and memorable campaigns that will motivate employees (end users) to take action on changes with new IT solutions and services.
  • Follow a structured framework and methodology to ensure optimal quality and timeliness of own IT employee experience client success deliverables.
  • Support the preparation of change/transformation readiness assessments and/or change impact assessments using surveys, interviews, focus groups, or other methods; evaluate and summarize findings for IT project and/or leadership teams.
  • Partner with IT Business Engagement Leads, as needed, to understand the business/functional goals and daily ways of working to align approach and plans.
  • Identify potential areas of resistance and draft mitigation approaches.
  • In partnership with the Lead, contribute to the development of the IT EE success/change mgt plan which outlines the strategies and schedules for related workstreams to engage sponsors, change behaviors, drive adoption and an improved employee user experience.
  • Prepare concise and high-quality communications that provide awareness and motivate users to adopt the new technology in various channels such as email, Viva Engage Community, Events and Notices, etc.
  • Create and provide presentations and communications content on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for various projects and IT Communications needs.
  • Actively participate in Viva Engage Communities to distribute IT messages and promptly respond to inquiries.
  • Partner with Lead to engage with Public Affairs (PA) for alignment of messaging and distribution across all Gilead, all leader and/or all country messaging.
  • Support the development and execution of learning strategies in partnership with IT Learning Lead. Plan and coordinate activities for varying audience types.
  • Guide IT support teams, by contributing to and reviewing knowledge base articles, end-user guides, outage notifications, etc.
  • Review Voice of the Customer (VoC) survey data and feedback from local site support to gain insight into end-user pain points.
  • In partnership with Lead, create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of users.
  • Report on effectiveness of IT Employee Experience success activities and user satisfaction.
  • Provide sustainment recommendations to incorporate efforts into ongoing service offerings.


Education

BA/BS in relevant and/or related field.

Knowledge and Skills
  • 1-2 years of experience in end user experience, client success, and/or change management role in a corporate technology setting
  • Strong communications skills to be able to transform technical content into consumable end user messaging
  • Strong critical thinking and data analytics skills; able to use data to make decisions and influence outcomes in support of improving the IT employee experience
  • Experience in managing quality deliverables on time
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to quickly learn technology applications and solutions
  • Comfort working at a fast pace and with ambiguity
  • Strong attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities
  • Self-motivated individual, highly collaborative and team oriented attitude
  • Professional presence and ability to influence others; asking questions and practicing listening skills

Gilead and Kite Careers

The salary range for this position is: $81,940.00 - $106,040.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
