Eli Lilly and Company seeks an Advisor – Advance Analytics to perform advanced statistical analysis to solve our global business complex problems and to transform the way our company discovers and develops new treatments, identify personalized treatments regiments, drive efficiency in our operations, and optimize commercialization of our new products. Partner with key business partners and work within cross-functional teams to identify, scope, and execute analytics efforts that answer business questions, solve business needs, and add business value. Maintain a broad understanding of questions and be fully engaged with teams, bringing an objective voice to the table, and facilitating decision grounded in data. Collaborate with other analytics team members to review and provide feedback on the analytics work being done and seek feedback from other team members about your own work. Stay current with respect to machine learning, statistical, mathematical and informatics modeling methodology, to maintain proficiency in applying new and varied methods, and to be competent in justifying methods selected. #LI-DNI

This position requires a PhD in Statistics or related quantitative field, and 3 years of work experience with Data Science, Applied Statistics and Machine Learning Algorithms. Experience must include a minimum of: 3 years’ experience with programming in Python, R, C++, SQL, and Matlab; 3 years’ research experience with functional/longitudinal data, geospatial data, remote sensing data, change detection, and data imputation; 3 years’ experience with advanced statistical methods: multivariate and univariate functional data analysis, dense and sparse functional principal component analysis, kernel smoothing methods, time-varying coefficient model, longitudinal data imputation, kriging methods, change detection in mean functions, and bootstrap sampling; 2 years’ experience with developing and implementing machine learning, deep learning algorithms for real-world problems, familiar with tree-based methods and regularization methods in both theoretical and application levels; and experience with object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithm, space and time complexity. This position requires domestic travel approximately 10-20% of work week. Telecommuting is permitted.
