2024 Intern, Industrial Engineering

The Role:

If you are an Industrial Engineer looking to make a difference then we are looking for you! We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, broad thinker to help drive process improvements in our Strategic Operations team in Drug Substance Quality Assurance. You will have a great opportunity for hands on experience with basic operational excellence concepts such as process mapping, root cause analyses, lean management, visual KPI tracking, and project delivery as an Intern. The successful candidate will help to drive continuous improvement to improve performance while working closely with our experienced team members.

Our internship program goes from: June 3rd to August 16th 2024. All applicants must be available for the entire duration of the program and available to work onsite in Norwood, MA.

Heres What Youll Do:

• Analyze and visualize performance data and potential performance opportunities.

• Support problem solving sessions through use of standard methodologies to ensure correct root cause analysis and diagnosis.

• Collaborate with global teams for VoC and ensure stakeholder engagement and project alignment.

• Assist in driving implementation of solutions for process improvement initiatives.

• Create process maps and visuals to help convey improvement opportunities and gains.

• Assist in the preparation of workshops, meetings, presentations, and documentation to related to performance improvement initiatives.

• Participate in cross-functional team meetings and contribute to discussions on process improvements.

• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:

• Currently enrolled in a BS degree program; Industrial Engineering students strongly preferred.

• Strong interest in Operational Excellence and Project Management with a focus on teamwork.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as Tableau, Smartsheet, Visio, and AI/ML.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

• Familiarity with process mapping techniques and tools is a plus.
