The Role:

Moderna is seeking a Sr. Manager of Training, based at their Norwood, MA site. The individual in this role will partner with the US Manufacturing and Quality Teams to build, coordinate, maintain, and plan training related activities for new hires/current staff. This individual will coordinate and support training activities as well as write training content.

Heres What Youll Do:

  • Coordinate and support training activities including new hire, Qualified Trainer, and Instructor-led training

  • Assist onboarding of new manufacturing staff including performing new hire onboarding Instructor-led Training classes

  • Build a world class training team

  • Collaborate with management and peers and coordinate required training for current and future staff

  • Support the review and creation of role-based curricula

  • Support processing and tracking of quality systems records such as deviations, change controls, CAPAs as required

  • Provide feedback to Management on developmental status of new staff during training sessions

  • Demonstrate general knowledge of standard manufacturing practices and equipment.

  • Strict adherence to current good manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, and manufacturing documentation. Establish and follow written procedures for the clear and accurate documentation of equipment operation and process instructions, and of process data.

  • Practice safe work habits and adhere to Modernas safety procedures and guidelines.

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors degree with at least 8 years of GMP Manufacturing Experience, with 2 years of training experience

  • Skills required:

    • Experience working in GMP manufacturing environment

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Programs

    • Technical writing

  • Strong written, oral communication, and organizational skills required

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under established guidelines and instructions

  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment

  • Ability to efficiently prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced production environment at a biotech/pharmaceutical company preferably in GMP or GLP

  • Ability to collaborate fluidly with peers, supervisors and cross functional support groups required
