Job Description
The Director of Digital Experience will lead the Web & Mobile teams in the Enterprise Platforms & Digital Solutions group. This technology lead role will focus on working closely with the key stakeholders to deliver on the digital user experience to external customers, manage a team of digital engineers, manage vendors and be a champion for delivering world class projects. The salary range for this position is: $199,835.00 - $258,610.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.

Job Description
The Director of Digital Experience will lead the Web & Mobile teams in the Enterprise Platforms & Digital Solutions group. Specific Responsibilities and Skills
- Technology lead responsible for delivery, operations, scalability, and optimization of all things related to Digital Customer experience.
- Solid experience delivering applications on Sitecore CMS 9.0 and higher
- Strong experience in web & cloud technologies like .NET, LAMP, PHP, Static Sites, Azure, AWS etc.
- Demonstrates very strong strategic technology-oriented acumen within Web domain. Knowledge of key technologies, applications, capabilities, and trends is essential. Understanding of the big picture of how capabilities interact with and relate to other parts of overall IT landscape is a must
- Be the single point of contact accountable for IT stakeholder management across core functional teams for Web & Mobile
- Able to create, recommend, obtain approval, establish, and execute strategic/tactical roadmaps across all products in Web. Must demonstrate repeated success in operational delivery of global enterprise level programs managing large pools of resources across various geographic locations
- Demonstrate cross industry knowledge of implementable use cases and opportunities across functions, trends, and benchmarks (metrics/cost) to advance competitive advantage
- Provide technical direction, support custom development needs, develop integrations, and coordinate activities over multiple resources both internally and with external agencies
- Participate in cross-functional teams during the entire lifecycle of product development, including deployment and post-deployment activities.
- Understand and plan for infrastructural impacts, plan for and validate functional and non-functional requirements, ensure compliance with secure development standards, and negotiate security trade-offs, and provide technical mentoring on coding techniques, methods, and standards
- Ability to help support teams to troubleshoot production issues
- Secure prioritization, assess level of efforts with a sense of urgency to reach workstream goals & timelines with cross functional partnership

Preferred Qualifications:
- Sitecore, AWS, Azure certifications strongly desired
- Hands on experience in delivering web/digital experience projects
- Collaborative leader who can work with program / product managers to achieve business objectives
- Strong development background, platform experience, and technical leadership qualifications
- Technical expertise in various web/digital technology stacks with understanding of the technological landscape
- Must have managed globally dispersed technical delivery team
- Practical knowledge of various DevOps tools, processes, best practices on CI/CD
- Experience with managing large enterprise projects
- Outstanding communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills, and can collaborate at all levels
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry experience strongly desired
