Job Details
This position plays a key role in driving Regenerons programs through the drug discovery pipeline for portfolios within the immunology and inflammation therapeutic focus area. Using scientific knowledge and project management techniques, we are seeking a talented team player to plan and support the operational and scientific activities within the RPM team and support the advancement of research and technology projects in the drug discovery pipeline. The Associate Manager coordinates with cross functional groups including the I&I Therapeutic Focus Area, Technology centers, and the broader Research team to achieve portfolio and program goals.
In this role, a typical day may include:
Independently executing management of projects and tasks with some guidance with awareness of internal and external interdependencies
Identifying and working to champion resolution of critical gaps, risks, or issues, as related to assigned programs, projects, and tasks
Facilitating the development, maintenance and execution of proposed research studies and ensures alignment across functional areas and senior management
Tracking programs and promoting a collaborative scientific information exchange by leading and updating tracking tools and program content
Defining and documenting standard methodologies and procedures and identifying opportunities for implementing standardized processes
Serving as primary point of contact for management regarding progress of project / program goals, ensures effective, accurate and timely program-related communication across functional areas
Corresponds with teams to develop research plans, identify knowledge gaps, address challenges, and communicate progress
Builds cross-functional teams and leads program deliverables in a matrix organization
Identifying and understanding key data/information required to drive decision & next steps through discovery and drug development process
Creating new processes with guidance, leads the development and gains alignment on process improvement solutions, informed by knowledge of technical/scientific challenges faced by the project teams

Work independently with limited guidance, but with general oversight from a supervisor.
To be considered for this role, you should have a BS/MS degree in a related field and typically requires 7+ years experience or a PhD in a related field with post doc experience. We are looking for someone with basic knowledge of project management techniques and concepts as they apply to the drug development / pharmaceutical industry.
