Mechanic/Maintenance Technician Apprentice

Applicants must be BioWork students or graduates who completed a Pre-apprentice Training Program form and enrolled in a Biopharmaceutical Technology Apprenticeship program at a registered Community College.

You Will:

• Repair, install, adjust, or maintain pharmaceutical production and processing machinery and utility distribution systems.
• May also install, dismantle, or move machinery and heavy equipment according to plans.
• Monitors equipment performance and adjusts setups, calibrations and alignments on conventional production equipment.
• Tracks various data associated with production equipment; reports any inconsistencies; uses standard repair procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have completed (or be in the process of completing) a NC BioWork Certificate Program (Pre-Apprenticeship) OR be currently enrolled in a Biopharmaceutical Technology Apprenticeship program at a registered Community College

Suggested Pre-requisites:

• CIS-110 Intro to Computers
• ELC-128 Intro to PLC
• MNT-110 Intro to Maint. Procedures

Choice of:

• HYD-110 Hydraulics/Pneumatics I
• MEC-111 Machine Processes I
