Job Details

We are looking to hire a toxicologist to join us in our mission to discover and develop drugs that improve human health through the use of breakthrough computational methods. We are seeking outstanding individuals to join our drug discovery group and contribute to our rapidly expanding portfolio of drug discovery programs and collaborations. 

Our drug discovery and early clinical development team includes a cross-functional group of scientists and drug developers with experience working on all common target classes and therapeutic areas. The group is supported by more than 100 software developers and engineers as well as a large-scale compute infrastructure to apply our proprietary physics-based drug design and optimization platform. Several programs we have worked on have achieved Development Candidates, including progression to clinical development and FDA approval. Who will love this job:

  • A well-training toxicologist with a solid background in relevant areas: Pharmacology, Toxicology, Biology 
  • An experienced toxicologist who can provide support in study design, monitoring, and interpretation of discovery, investigative and GLP-compliant toxicology studies

What you will do:

  • Serves as toxicology representative to discovery and development teams.
  • Works cross-functionally with research teams to design exploratory and GLP compliant toxicology studies to investigate properties of candidate compounds.
  • Designs and implements regulatory toxicology studies to support development of clinical stage therapeutics.
  • Authoring regulatory submissions documents (IB, IND, BLA, Annual Reports) as needed to support development programs.
  • Maintains currency with internal training and global regulatory requirements. 
  • Acts as Toxicology study monitor and liaison to external contract research organizations (CROs). 
  • Travels to CRO sites during study conduct to ensure regulatory compliance and effective execution of study protocols.
  • Analyze and interpret data, determine next steps, and communicate results to development teams and management.

What you should have:

  • Ph.D. in Toxicology or related discipline + ≥ 8 years post-graduate industry experience
  • Prior experience monitoring studies or acting as study director at CRO a plus
  • Prior experience at pharmaceutical industry a must 
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skills

Estimated base salary range (NYC only): $175,000 - $210,000. Actual compensation package is dependent on a number of factors, including, for example, experience, education, degrees held, market data, and business needs.
