Our US Research & Development (R&D) hub, located in the Greater Boston area, brings together the best talent to drive life science innovation, from early research through late-stage clinical development. Global Discovery and Development Sciences (GDDS) Boston, part of the US R&D hub, is building a new state-of-the art animal care facility in Lexington to support our growing in vivo pharmacology activities.
The Position
Responsible for providing a high level of animal care and husbandry, performing regularly scheduled facility maintenance tasks, and contributing technical assistance to research projects in the NNRC rodent facility
Relationships
Reports to Manager, Animal Research. Internal relationships include working with Assistant Animal Technician, Attending Veterinarian, Lab Operations Specialist, Research Associates and Research Scientists locally and globally.
Essential Functions
- Administers injections
- Animal care and husbandry:
- Assists in development and refinement of SOPs
- Assists with basic colony management
- Assists with surgical procedures
- Cleans, sanitizes and sterilizes laboratory surfaces, equipment and supplies as scheduled
