About the role:

Join Takeda as a Talent Acquisition Lead, Data Digital & Technologies. You will set a talent acquisition agenda globally, across and within Data Digital & Technologies (DD&T) within Global Corporate Functions, that details how we will attract and hire the best people, working alongside DD&T HR Business Leaders and HR Partners, the embedded Talent Leads and Business Units/Function Leaders to deploy and embed our talent acquisition agenda.

You will report to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, Global Corporate Functions and be a trusted member of the Corporate Function HR Team with a deep understanding of talent acquisition practices and tools for technology talents (tech talent) including external trends and contemporary thought leadership.

How you will contribute:

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience within Global Corporate Functions which results in a distinctive competitive advantage for Takeda

  • Set a talent acquisition agenda, both within and across the Global Corporate Functions, with integrated linkages between “buy-build” strategy. Deliver on our workforce plans

  • Develop and deploy candidate brand and engagement strategies for DD&T across regions (US, Europe, Japan, APAC, LATAM, etc.). Get creative. Consider alternative engagement tactics such as Alumni portals

  • Generate diverse talent pools proactively to hire the best people for DD&T Key Leadership roles

  • Direct full Talent Acquisition life cycle for DD&T including job requisition, pipelining, scheduling, interview feedback/consultation, pre-offer, through to offer negotiation. Create process feedback loops. Deliver continuous improvement

  • Engage in collaborative relationships with HRBLs, HR Partners, and embedded Learning & Talent Management Lead to set sourcing strategies for pivotal roles or targeted sources such as University Relations. Coparticipant in leading programs focused on pivotal roles or segments such as Early Career interns/rotation programs

  • Deliver talent insights to BU/Function Leaders, HRBLs and HR Partners such as performance metrics, vendor SLAs or external talent maps

  • Strategically build relationships with and manage performance of external partners including RPOs (recruitment process outsourcing) and preferred agencies

  • Subject matter expert in areas of talent acquisition theory/methodology in Tech-talent recruitment who provides consultation to embedded HR and DD&T Leaders

  • Lead a team of Talent Acquisition Managers, Recruiters and RPO resources. Create an environment which inspires people to do their best and is aligned to the Company’s values. Elevate our Talent Acquisition capabilities to acquire best tech talents

  • Lead and participate in Global HR projects and Communities of Practice as required. Apply knowledge of contemporary external best practices to co-create solutions that are relevant and make a difference

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Experience in technology talent recruitment working with Corporate Functions and/or supporting a complex global organization undergoing transformation is required

  • 7 + years experience within HR focused on talent acquisition. HR Business Partner or Talent Management experience is a plus

  • Strategic Agility - strategic enterprise thinker who finds innovative ways to develop solutions. Exceptional ability to translate an agenda aligned to a function’s future focused objectives, deploy it and deliver results

  • Industry and HR Knowledge – understands the technology industry and enabling business functions. Curious and up to date on current and possible future HR and business trends. Thought leader (theory and practice) as it pertains to evolving organization capabilities, systems thinking, learning and organization change

  • Communication – ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and written in a persuasive and appropriate manner. Adept at storytelling and bringing others along change journey and adopting new ways of thinking

  • Analytical Skills – ability to identify the root cause of problems/opportunities and determine possible solutions
