As part of the Commercial Data & Analytics Technology team, you will work closely with business partners and other Digital, Technology, & Innovation (DTI) product teams to develop technology capabilities built around predictive analytics, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and core data engineering principles. This position will innovate and contribute to enabling business outcomes through the use of sophisticated analytics techniques for Amgen to to draw insights and reach the patients to get them the help they need. You and your team will create coordinated experiences for our customers across their various Amgen touchpoints by using advanced analytical methodologies - Predictive Customer targeting, Customer Micro-Segmentation, Healthcare Provider (HCP) Influence Mapping, etc.
This position will be primarily responsible for:- As the Commercial Decision Science product owner, you are responsible for the development and execution of the technology roadmap that delivers advanced data & analytics (D&A) capabilities.
- Partners with Data Architects, Business SMEs, and Data Scientists to design, deliver, and maintain our robust set of data pipelines and scalable MLOps capabilities to manage our high-performance algorithms and predictive models across our various marketed products/brands.
- Owns the Build and Run Data Science product service portfolio that includes resource, vendor and budget management.
- Champions Agile practices and advances SAFe best practices (e.g., sprint planning, MVP, Program Increment/Big Room Planning, backlog management, etc.)
- Constantly experiments and prototypes new technologies and tools that deliver new data insights for Amgens Commercial brand and analytics business partners.
- Hybrid onsite/remote role within a commutable distance to either Thousand Oaks, CA or Tampa, FL office
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of data science and/or analytics experience
OrMasters degree and 6 years of data science and/or analytics experience
OrBachelors degree and 8 years of data science and/or analytics experience
OrAssociates degree and 10 years of data science and/or analytics experience
OrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of data science and/or analytics experience
And2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
Preferred Qualifications:- 3 years minimum experience in serving as a Scaled Agile Product Owner
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Data Science and Advanced analytics
- Managerial experience in having lead product teams from ideation to capability realization
- Experience with data modeling and data warehousing, and analytics and visualization tools
- Experience with software engineering best-practices, including but not limited to version control (Git, Subversion, etc.), CI/CD (Jenkins, Maven etc.), automated unit testing, and Dev Ops
- Experience working with large datasets, experience working with distributed computing tools (Spark, Hive, etc.)
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, S3, EMR, RDS, Redshift/Spectrum, Lambda, Glue, Athena, API Gateway
- Diligent technical proficiency with strong logical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills as well as excellent verbal, written communication & presentation skills.
- Experience working in the commercial area in Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology/Biomedical devices/Healthcare Industries are preferred.
- Proven record to work in a highly matrixed and dynamic business environment with little supervision.
- Solid experience with Agile and SAFe.
- Past programming experience with Python, R, or SAS and experience with ML libraries
- Passion for learning and staying on top of the latest technologies.

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $149,062 to $178,617.
