Marketing Senior Manager, Consumer, Cardiovascular (US Remote)Live

In this vital role the Sr. Consumer Marketing Manager for Cardiovascular (Repatha) will not only have a significant impact on the continued and future success of our US Cardiovascular business at Amgen, but also the lives the CV patients that can benefit from Repatha treatment.
At Amgen we strive to put the patient front and center. This position has a key role in driving this mission by leading direct-to-consumer (DTC) marketing communication and media strategy and execution for Repatha in the U.S. The Senior Manager will lead the development of communications strategy from insight identification to concept, from concept to development, and from development to launch. This individual will also lead media strategy from planning to execution, including a key role in the analysis of results that informs insight and data-based recommendations. These key aspects of the role will involve delivering compelling messages to the right consumers in the right medium across the patient journey. The ideal candidate is collaborative, strategic, and has a deep understanding of marketing, segmentation & audience strategy, agency management, content strategy, and is ultimately driven by a passion for serving patients. This role will have a direct report.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Lead insight-driven DTC communications strategy in close collaboration with market research and agency partners to uncover deep insights and translate them to consumer-compelling creative and messaging that is well integrated across channels.
Co-lead media strategy oversee planning, placement and measurements/insights across key channels including TV, Digital, Social, Audio, point-of-care, patient education, Search and PR to support an innovation, powerful consumer engagement plan.
Manage day-to-day oversight and delivery of breakthrough branded campaign, DSE communication, and partner with Global Media counterparts on media strategy and tactics.
Co-lead marketing measurement to ensure continuous optimization. Translate media and other data sources into insight that informs actions.
Collaborate with key partners including HCP Promo marketing, Patient Access, Corporate Communications, Advocacy, Scientific Communications, Global Commercial Capabilities, and Commercial Data and Analytics to ensure synergy with programming for healthcare professionals, customers, and consumers.
Manage the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review and approval of new materials to enable responsible and compliant consumer communications.
Manage budgets and closely monitor performance, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all programs.
Create a winning, inclusive and supportive team culture. Coach and develop staff and other team partners
Domestic travel up to 20%.

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Masters degree and 4 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Bachelors degree and 6 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
Associates Degree and 10 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organization
High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Marketing and/or business experience in a role aligned with a Marketing/Sales commercial organizationPreferred Qualifications:
Strong marketing competence with a solid grasp of marketing strategy, market research, segmentation, brand positioning, and tactical plan development.
Experience developing and implementing a wide range of successful online and offline tactics, including Video, digital, print, video, and CRM.
Translating market research into effective consumer campaigns or programs. Previous experience with clinical data a plus.
Exhibiting passion and empathy to build meaningful experiences with consumers by understanding their needs and desires.
Experience working with advertising agencies to develop and produce engaging creative.
Strong bias for action and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to exercise strong judgment and live up to the highest ethical standards.
Excellent communication skills and self-awareness of leadership style
Ability to build productive partnerships and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.
Experience marketing directly to consumers, with a preference for pharmaceutical or regulated consumer goods or services.
Experience coaching and developing talent

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $140,752 - $171,525.
