The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's North Hills is home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations, R&D Data Science and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center is a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.

The IT Risk Manager will be a key member of the IT Risk and Governance team with the mission of supporting the management of IT Risks at Gilead.

Responsibilities

The IT Risk Manager will primarily be responsible for the following key activities:

• Assist the IT Risk team with IT Risk Governance, Identification, Assessment, Monitoring and Reporting activities as needed
  
• Liaison with key IT Risk stakeholders to provide needed expertise and direction required to ensure risks are effectively identified and managed
  
• Support training and awareness of Gilead's IT Risk Framework and Program Operating Model
  
• Assist in development and management of centralized exceptions and issue management model
  
• Support the team to maintain the IT Risk Register
  
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of methodologies to facilitate aligned IT risk management practices
  
• Support continuous IT Risk Recalibration
  
• Support analysis and quantification of IT Risks
  
• Assist with research and special projects as needed
  

Required Skills & Job Qualifications

• Knowledge and understanding of Enterprise Risk Management and IT Risk Management
  
• Knowledge of Security Risk Management
  
• Knowledge of Cyber Risk Quantification
  
• Experience working hands-on with cross-functional teams in assessing and advising processes, risks, and controls
  
• Experience performing risk assessments
  
• Problem solving skills and the ability to independently evaluate and develop approaches to complex problems
  
• Thinks creatively and applies facilitation skills to achieve resolution with IT partners
  
• Highly organized, results-oriented, and attentive to details
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and diplomacy skills
  
• Eager to learn and implement change
  

Education & Certification

• Bachelor's degree in Audit, Computer Science, or other related areas
  
• 5+ Years' experience in GRC and Risk Management fields
  
• Knowledge and/or experience in the FAIR risk assessment approach a plus
  
• Knowledge and/or experience with RiskLens tool a plus
  
• Experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platforms a plus

Gilead and Kite Careers

The salary range for this position is: $126,480.00 - $163,680.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
