What you will do

Lets do this. Lets change the world. In this vital role you will:

• Contribute to Amgens mission of serving patients as the leader in the General Medicine Therapeutic Area (TA) including Cardiometabolism (CVM) and Bone

• Shape the global strategic direction for engagement with the top Opinion leaders (OLs)

• Drive engagement excellence with relevant Professional Societies

• Support strategic identification of the next generation of OLs, who will serve as champions to transform patient care and educate and nurture community level HCPs

• Plan and execute strategic OL engagement at major congresses

• Partner with cross-functional colleagues including Commercial, Advocacy, Corporate Affairs and Development on strategic OL engagement

• Maintain an active role within TA cross-functional meetings to ensure awareness of potential opportunities for external engagement

• Up to 20% travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of external medical engagement experience OR Masters degree and 6 years of external medical engagement experience OR Bachelors degree and 8 years of external medical engagement experience OR
Associates degree and 10 years of external medical engagement experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of external medical engagement experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD), PhD, or PharmD

• Experience in congress strategy and executive engagements

• Skilled at engagement and scientific exchange with external medical community

• Therapeutic area experience in cardiovascular/ bone / endocrinology

• Proven ability to work in teams, cross-functionally and independently.

• Skilled at effectively presenting ideas and documenting complex medical/clinical concepts in both written and oral communication

• History of solving problems while exhibiting superior judgment and a balanced, realistic understanding of issues

• Network of medical, clinical contacts in product/therapeutic area

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $158,712- $212,534.
