Business Development Manager, Protein Services

The Business Development Manager, Protein Services will focus on selling of US-RSBU protein services and developing related business opportunities. The person should be well-versed in protein science, has extensive experiences in selling protein services to support the strong growth and aggressive expansion of US protein business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Specializes in business development for protein service line.
• Responsible for GenScript's protein service line sales goal & profit goal achievement.
• Responsible for designing and implementing overall selling strategies aiming toward aggressive US protein business expansion.
• Increase GenScript's protein service visibility. Focus on bringing in new customers and new business opportunities. Build, cultivate, and leverage relationships with key external customers and organizations.
• Closely collaborate with Protein FAS on customer development and make joint effort in TCs and customer visits.
• Manage protein opportunity pipelines and maintain CRM record and accounts tracking sheet together with sales.
• Ensure strong understanding of evolving trends across protein research or therapeutic landscape.
• Identify and communicate key research pain points and insights from industry leaders to appropriate departments to help shape company research, development, and strategies for services.
• Work collaboratively with relevant internal stakeholders to ensure an enterprise approach when working with customers, and to identify educational gaps/needs, apply appropriate support that is aligned with company strategy.
• Maintain business and scientific knowledge of protein service and therapeutic protein landscapes by engaging in continuous independent learning including attendance at relevant symposium, scientific workshops, and review of key journals, actively attend and participate in upskilling programs related to services, and relevant business topics.

• PhD preferred 
• Research experience in antibody drug discovery, antibody engineering, protein science
• Bilingual capability preferred (English/Chinese)
• Must be based in California or willing to relocate
• Capable of working productively and collaboratively with both internal partners and external collaborators
• Solid business planning, high business analytical capability and excellent organization skills to optimize business decisions
• A fierce and motivating competitive spirit with proven track records of accomplishments in sales targets achievement and commercial team building
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent presentation skills
