Senior Manager, Contracts and Pricing Execution (US Remote)

Lets do this. Lets change the world! In this vital role you will be a key member of US Value and Access (US V&A) within the Managed Care Operations (MCO) team.
The MCO team is responsible for timely and accurate implementation of discounts for contracted customers at Amgen which includes ensuring compliance against applicable commercial contracts, validating and processing data from multiple sources including third parties, disputing and resolving data discrepancies, calculating contract performance and adhering to Amgens Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) reporting requirements. This position will be responsible for managing several staff dedicated to the payer space and will guide the team through the evolving landscape to ensuring Amgens success in the Commercial Healthcare Market.
Manage staff responsible for the design, execution and ongoing maintenance of Amgens 340B operations
Work with external vendors to define capabilities required for 340B data collection, processing, reporting and integration with Amgen systems
Lead the MCO teams efforts in developing a robust, scalable and efficient Formulary Validation execution process across all applicable payers
Manage and evolve the payer consolidated dispute reporting and resolution process
Develop spreadsheet models for moderately complex financial analyses, deliver formal presentations, lead special projects, participate in rebate contract development and review
Provide innovative and responsive contracting strategies with a broader, more complex and evolving customer base
Document processes to support the maintenance of contracting strategies and provide leadership with impact analysis summarizing resourcing needs and timing of key activities
Provide recommendations for application enhancements or the use of other tools to improve processes and reporting
Develop and maintain controls related to Amgens SOX requirements and other reporting and certification requirements
Establish and maintain effective relationships with GCPS business users, IS, Coverage and Pricing, Accounting/Finance, Compliance, internal legal counsel, other cross-functional groups, external partners and suppliers to successfully manage team deliverables
Review and understand current and proposed legislation, rules and releases and the associated impact to the Payer Discounts team
Design comprehensive solutions to anticipate and address partner needs based on organizational strategy and vision
Coach, motivate and provide career and technical advice to direct reports and others in the department

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate and 2 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
OrMasters degree and 4 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
OrBachelors degree and 6 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
OrAssociate's degree and 10 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
OrHigh School diploma/GED and 12 years of project management/transaction processing operations and/or leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:Understands subject matter within the payer landscape at an experienced level
Supervisory/management experience
Payer experience or experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech environment with emphasis in commercial operations
Financial background
Demonstrated track record of increasing responsibility and leadership experience
Advanced computer & system operations skills
Ability to develop reports and analytical tools to measure performance of commercial contracts
Ability to develop and deliver formal presentations to senior leadership, including translating complex data and processes into succinct executive summaries
Ability to deliver and communicate effectively in a highly fluid, interactive, matrixed environment
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous, complex projects to completion
Authoritative command of complexity and ambiguity; ability to see the big picture; ability to collect, digest and assemble information to enable relevant business analyses
High attention to detail/reporting accuracy, balances strong detail orientation with the ability to conceptualize problems
Identifies and implements cross functional process improvement opportunities within and outside the department
Problem solving that identifies and develops solutions to complex problems from a strategic and operational perspective that have impact to the business
Able to abstract principles from previous experience and apply judgment to drive organizational risk management decisions
Ability to manage staff and providing clear and concise expectations, and have open development and feedback discussions
Collaborates with others to achieve desired results and applies appropriate level of direction and empowerment
Sophisticated meeting management and facilitation skills

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $147,030 - $184,593.
