Senior Manager, Clinical Data Systems

Purpose

Major Responsibilities:

•Manage technology evaluations and implementations for performance improvement and cost reduction.

•Provide leadership to drive key initiatives cross functionally

•Architect, design and implement solutions that fit into existing clinical ecosystems

• Manage systems and processes across the clinical domain

•Practice continuous improvement of processes and technology usage.

•Acts as subject matter expert and process owner.

• Provides strategic direction in relation to operational responsibilities and activities; promotes best practice; ensures objectives are successfully met.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, life sciences or equivalent. Masters preferred.

•Possess expertise in current and emerging technology trends

•Must have 8+ years of experience with clinical database design, data loading, and database modeling concepts or 9+ years of experience in a similar technical or clinical development environment.

•Demonstrated intermediate SAS and/or SQL programming skills and expert knowledge of database concepts.

•In-depth knowledge of CDASH and SDTM Standards In-depth understanding of clinical trial processes

•Must have Java, Python and PL/SQL expertise

•Must have deep understanding of Oracle Databases and Unix Shell Scripting

•Demonstrated ability to influence others without direct authority

•Demonstrated ability to successfully coach/mentor in a matrix environment and strong analytical skills

•Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
