As the Global Head of Talent Acquisition at Moderna, you will own the strategy, implementation, and execution of all aspects of global talent acquisition in an incredibly dynamic, high-growth environment. This strategic role is designed for a creative and innovative thinker who is passionate about the intersection of differentiated best-in-class recruitment, digital innovation (think AI and ChatGPT), and the creation of an inclusive, diverse organization that thinks differently about making an impact. You will pioneer new approaches to talent assessment and sourcing, build exceptional recruiting teams, design innovative and engaging talent attraction strategies, lead hands-on leadership searches, and optimize next-generation talent acquisition tools in order to align the appropriate processes and measurements to ensure the team's success. Your primary focus will be driving the front-end talent engine, grounded in Modernas Mindsets, to hire for future capabilities and geographies for the company , while creating strategic approaches that identify and attract diverse talent pipelines to successfully meet business needs now and in the future This role is based in our Cambridge, MA offices with flexibility to work from home 30% of the time. We believe in-person collaboration fuels our exponential growth and fosters our unique culture. Travel is ~10% - domestic and international.
Heres What Youll Do:
Build and lead a high-performing Talent Acquisition team of best-in-class recruiters and TA leaders that embrace a tech-forward, data-driven in-house recruiting model.
Continuously assess and evolve recruitment processes globally to ensure laser-focus on automation, measurement, and optimal key outcomes/effectiveness.
Develop and implement a diverse global talent acquisition strategy that aligns with Moderna's business objectives and growth plans.
Continuously improve the candidate experience, ensuring engaging and delightful interactions with Moderna throughout the recruitment process.
Leverage next-generation analytics, insights, and research to assess talent acquisition processes, future hiring plans, market drivers, and talent pools.
Collaborate with HR business partners and business leaders to understand talent needs and develop targeted strategies to attract diverse candidates or build future talent pipelines
Optimize talent acquisition tools and technologies to streamline processes and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Partner across HR to champion employer branding initiatives to position Moderna as an employer of choice in the market.
Establish and track key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition and quality of hire.
Foster a culture of belonging, high performance, continuous improvement, and innovation within the Talent Acquisition team.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations related to talent acquisition and employment practices.

Experience leading, motivating, and developing a diverse global team of talent advisors at all levels
Maintain a personal executive search load of up to 5-10 senior level searches from sourcing through offer acceptance
Digital-first mindset, embracing technology and analytics to drive talent acquisition strategies
Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Proven track record of success in attracting diverse talent and building inclusive recruitment processes and teams
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
Experience in the biotech or life sciences industry is a plus
