The Role

In this role, you will partner with a cross-functional team of stakeholders and subject matter experts within Moderna University and Digital to drive the curation, creation, and delivery of learning programs across the Digital College portfolio with a special focus on our Cloud Academy and role-based AWS training and certification.

This position can be based in Modernas Seattle, WA or Cambridge, MA offices.

Heres What Youll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of learning academies within the Digital college, execute the vision provided by the Moderna University Learning Business Partner, and ensure alignment with our strategies

  • Partner with end users (employees), vendors, and key stakeholders to manage plans, design and develop, and implement meaningful learning experiences that shift the mindset and contribute to sustained behavior change that aligns to Modernas culture and values

  • Leverage our learning technologies, partnerships, and resources to design, deliver, and maintain large-scale learning and certification programs integrated into our learning solutions

  • Ensure learning experiences are discoverable and relevant to promote continuous learning and attract return users

  • Collect and analyze user feedback to ensure impact and modify/update programs to keep them continually relevant while meeting or improving upon business performance

  • Work with stakeholders and subject matter experts to anticipate, continually up-level, and challenge the organization on latest applied technology skills and concepts to add value to the business

  • Drive registration and attendance with a communication and marketing strategy to expedite global enablement and reduce time-to-productivity for new team members

  • Lead change management efforts related to learning and development initiatives

  • Position may require up-to 30% travel

  • Additional duties may be assigned if these new tasks and responsibilities correspond with the the scope of the role and the incumbents abilities and qualifications. Remuneration remains unaffected by such re-assignment of tasks.

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • 8+ years experience in learning and development, with a focus on program and vendor management, instructional design, and learning program delivery

  • Experience with learning management systems and e-learning platforms

  • Experience with AWS training and/or certification

Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience in creating technical skills learning and development paths for Digital professionals preferred

  • Master's degree preferred

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams

  • Proven passion for learning, helping others to grow, and Modernas mission as it relates to improving the cloud maturity, AWS abilities, and professional development of our Digital customers

  • Demonstrated customer obsession with the ability to identify, problem solve, and innovate to meet the real-world needs of our end users, key stakeholders, and partners required

  • Proven record of using data to define and measure learning efficacy strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of current trends and best practices in AWS, cloud, and Digital/IT upskilling and certification education and training

  • Experience in change management and managing large-scale or all-organization learning programs and certification programs

Under Washington State law, Moderna is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for the jobs covered by this description. Base compensation for these positions in Washington State range from $125,500 to $201,000. Actual salary determinations will take into account factors such as work location, prior education and experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills. Compensation decisions are made on the facts and circumstances of each case.
