General Scope and Summary
Sage Therapeutics is searching for an Associate Director to lead the development and execution of consumer marketing initiatives with an emphasis on digital. The Associate Director will drive the strategy and development for patient engagement activities ranging from traditional in-office educational materials to digital advertising.These initiatives will directly contribute to Sages aspiration of revolutionizing the care of depression (for MDD, Major Depressive Disorder and PPD, Post-Partum Depression). The position requires a highly motivated individual who can work independently, think strategically, and collaborate transversally to accomplish complex deliverables.
Roles and Responsibilities

Create a comprehensive digital patient engagement strategy leveraging omnichannel for branded launch initiatives with a strong focus on DTC TV.

Partner closely with media agency and internal Omnichannel Excellence team to develop digital content strategy to ensure patients are moving through the continuum from awareness to adoption.

Monitor and analyze engagement metrics and provide necessary optimizations to ensure successful campaigns, including ROI analysis for TV.

Contribute to the development and execution of core consumer launch materials, including in-office and digital tactics (display ads, OLV, SEO/SEM, Paid Search).

Partner with Patient Services and Market Access teams to ensure proper messaging is developed and pulled through to marketing materials.

Develop multi-cultural marketing strategy by partnering with Insights team and internal Strategic Partnerships team.

Support the Consumer Marketing team by contributing to the development of strategic brand plans and associated budgets.

Manage materials, projects, and resources through the internal review committee process (MLR).

Manage multiple agency partners, including management of associated budgets.

Manage vendor contract processing (purchasing requisitions, invoices, and approvals).

Collaborate with multiple functional groups across the organization, including but not limited to Sales, Regulatory, Market Access, Market Research, Commercial Operations, Legal, Patient Advocacy, and Medical Affairs.

Align all efforts with Collaboration partner.
Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Must thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders, and good conflict management and negotiation skills.
Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree required.

6+ years of experience in marketing in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
Preferred Qualifications
-
CNS experience is a plus.
-
DTC TV experience a plus.
-
Launch experience is a plus.

Veeva Vault experience a plus.

Comprehensive understanding of digital ecosystem and how desktop, mobile, social, search and other online/offline channels work together in a customer journey.

Experience managing external brand agencies and vendors.

An outstanding track record of strong communication, presentation, analytic, and strategic capabilities.

Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple projects, and effectively influence, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external partners.

Ability to build strong relationships with coworkers of various backgrounds and expertise.
