Job Details

The primary goal of a Foodservice Storeroom team member is to contribute to providing excellent guest service by taking the initiative and maintaining a high level of team collaboration. 

Responsibilities

  • Open all coolers, turn on all ovens, fryers, steam tables.
  • Set up bread and butter and other breakfast condiments including salad and fruit bar.
  • Cook hot cereals and breakfast meats in ovens.
  • Prepare eggs and any breakfast specials, bake pastries for the day's menu, and assemble breakfast sandwiches in time for the café's opening.
  • Set up the grill for lunch, serve the meal promptly and continue to batch cook while attending to guests.
  • Discard or cool down food properly, then store it.
  • Clean the steam table, grill, and the area underneath the counter, and wipe down the area.
  • Place a GFS order and prep for the next day. Be ready to accommodate any special requests.

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED and previous experience in cooking such as eggs, sauces, casseroles, and sandwiches.
  • Skilled in producing large batches of food and a positive, proactive attitude as part of a team are essential.
  • Self-motivated with outstanding communication skills to provide exceptional guest service experience.
  • Must be able to adhere to verbal instructions, written recipes, and menu instructions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the Foodservice menu system, and ordering through GFS computer ordering system with cashiering experience.
  • Proactive team player with the ability to adapt to change in a positive manner.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent work and attendance record, ability to take on additional tasks including flexibility with work schedule and overtime when needed.
  • A sanitation certificate is preferred, but not required.
