Responsibilities & Key Objectives/Deliverables:
The Office of the Chief Information and Digital Officer (OCIDO) plays a critical role in strategy, planning and operations of global Lilly Information and Digital Solutions (IDS) which powers the purpose of Lilly. The OCIDO is responsible to provide leadership visibility and control for "running the business of IDS", via trusted competency and methods (policies, people, process, tools), that allows all levels of leadership to consume and leverage information that is relevant to them, to make appropriate decisions and act.
This role will report to the Associate Director of Project Management Services for Lilly Information and Digital Solutions (IDS), working closely with IDS project teams to provide leadership, drive development, communication, process, tools, implementation, and tracking of Lilly’s IDS portfolio, programs, and projects. The Associate/Analyst position will manage one or more concurrent projects using standard IDS PMO tools and processes. This position has global responsibilities and is based in Indianapolis, Indiana USA. Limited travel and flexibility to work across time zones with people from many cultures is required.
It is expected that Project Coordinators:
Leads small projects using waterfall, critical chain, or Agile tools and procedures
Has ownership of specific elements of a project or project plan, e.g., timeline, risk, communication, reporting
Adhere to defined Information and Digital Services Project Management Office practices to achieve project goals
Maintain and support tools related to the management of projects
Proactively monitor project resource needs, barriers, constraints, obstacles, risks, dependencies, and issues; resolve in a timely manner; escalate as appropriate
Coordinate delivery of all project deliverables (charter, communication plan, project schedule, etc.)
Respond to project team queries related to project management deliverables
Creates, maintains, and updates project documentation as assigned by the PMO leader
Manage schedule and related modifications as needed; resolve roadblocks in order to achieve timely delivery of agreed upon scope, budget and timelines
Lead the project team by keeping upcoming tasks and activities in front of them; coordinate the day-to-day activities of the project and report status in a timely manner
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or 1-3 years’ experience leading projects
Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position.
Additional Preferences:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience with Critical Chain and/or Agile project management methodologies
Experience with ProChain (PCE) software, SCRUM practices, Microsoft Project
Team leadership skills
Demonstrated track record of successful execution of complex projects
Excellent communication skills
Ability to manage (sometimes conflicting) priorities
Ability to work as part of a team
