Purpose:

  • Motivated self-starter who can work in collaboration with a dynamic team and IT and Business users, and stakeholders to meet delivery expectations.
  • This role reports to IT Systems Lead and serves as technical liaison between local plant stakeholders (e.g. API or BIO Manufacturing) and Global IT functions in the successful delivery of key projects, systems upgrades, and technology platforms, timely issue resolution, escalation & prioritization, and systems change/risk assessment.
  • Senior IT Systems Analyst shall also assume some supervisory roles of IT Systems Lead, not limited to mentoring and coaching team members, leading IT projects, and signatory approval on system documentation.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop systems documentation (not limited to system administration, user training, validation deliverables) with compliance to Abbvie SLC process, data integrity and data security policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Technical contact for business and translates business requirements into functional requirements specifications, workflows and identifies cross-functional dependencies to drive continuous systems enhancements and improvements.
  • Assist or lead in the Initial /Final Impact Assessment investigation write up, root cause investigation and to develop any CAPA plans and/or effectiveness check for IT Exception Events.
  • SME in regulatory audits including liaison with system or business owners for any IT audit requests.
  • Collaborate with cross functional team to create comprehensive system change plan through contributions of individuals with product, technical, operational, and different functional expertise.
  • Performs manufacturing systems related administration activities (not limited to system configuration, user access administration, systems performance monitoring, periodic reviews and downtime management).
  • Assist in the prioritization, escalation and timely resolution systems issues, be on call as needed and/or elevate to Global IT or external vendors as appropriate. (Includes systems root cause analysis, development of solution proposals, and establishing use cases from business through Digital means).
  • Participate or lead IT projects by managing system projects plans, deliverables and schedules to ensure successful system deployment and upgrades within established goals.
  • Researches and provide best practice recommendations with a focus on end-to-end system capabilities and using technologies to drive productivity, connectivity and data intelligence on the shopfloor execution processes.
  • Assure fulfillment of Environment, health and safety requirements and compliance obligations, promote continuous improvement and consider EHS aspects during design and change process.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues and product/process investigation impacting validation testing and day-to-day operations post-system go-live
  • Lead in Continuous Improvement projects
  • Develop critical SOPs, e.g. BCP, periodic review of the system, incident management

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or Chemical Engineering
  • Professional experience of at least 4-6 years demonstrating continuously increasing levels of project and management responsibilities and accomplishments in several areas of information systems organizations (e.g., applications development, technical services, and operations).
  • Ability to multitask in a cross-functional environment.
  • Familiarity with GxP - IT/OT/QC systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic process knowledge in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • High degree of initiative and ownership and ability to work with several different departments in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic Windows Server and programming knowledge .Net, C#, SQL is highly preferred but not a must.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
