Eikon Therapeutics is a new biopharmaceutical company employing revolutionary technology at the intersection of chemistry, engineering, computation, and biology to discover novel treatments for life-threatening diseases. Position

The Accounting Team manages all aspects of day-to-day accounting operations, including daily cash activities, fixed assets, accounts payable, corporate credit cards, leases, payroll, and equity. To support business growth, we have created the role of Senior Accountant to assist with all areas of accounting operations with a primary focus on GL accounting and expense management.

About You

You should possess top-level critical thinking and analytical skills that enable you to work through complex problems, determine proper processes, derive accounting conclusions, and present the results to the team.  You should be a detail-oriented and exceptionally organized team player, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.  You should have strong verbal and written communication skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Review accuracy of vendor invoices input by the AP Team
  • Review and post cash transactions in general ledger
  • Process employee expense reimbursements
  • Prepare manual journal entries and complete account reconciliations for cash, current and other assets, leases, accruals and other liabilities, etc. in a timely and accurate manner as part of the month-end close process
  • Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and resolve issues arising from daily accounting operations
  • Take ownership and initiative for accounting process improvements and documentation

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree from a top-ranking university in accounting, business administration, or economics required
  • 4-7 years of experience in the accounting profession, with public accounting or public company experience required
  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • SAP S4/Hana and Coupa experience preferred

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
