In this vital role, you will be part of the Quality Digital Strategy and Innovation (QDSI) organization and will be given opportunities to apply your expertise in data science and leadership to contribute to its mission to deliver portfolio of digital tools and capabilities to fuel Global Qualitys transformation. Your work will help enable end-to-end data and analytics solutions across the enterprise systems and deliver insights to drive decision-making and efficiency in digital initiatives. Senior Data Scientist will be based at one of our sites in Thousand Oaks, CA, Cambridge, MA or West Greenwich, RI, and will report into the Director of Data Science. We are pursuing highly motivated candidates with an extreme passion for data science, artificial intelligence (AI) and experience in leading data science teams.
Primary Responsibilities for the Sr Data Scientist include:Interact closely with Global Quality and Operations Functions to identify and prioritize opportunities to deliver value by developing and deploying novel, practical, scientific AI-driven solutions to meet business needs.
Mentor, motivate, and serve as a role model for data science talent and help coordinate deployment of team resources to advance the business and their professional aspirations and growth.
Lead and execute design and development of a wide range of innovative data and analytics solutions, from descriptive to prescriptive using advance statistical and artificial intelligence methods.
Continuously explore and evaluate new tools and techniques to improve the way data is used to generate useful insights and create business value.
Stay on top of the latest technology trends, AI applications in Health Care Industry and regulatory imperatives through internal/external engagements to address emerging business needs.

Basic Qualifications:Doctorate degree and 2 years of Quality and/or Technology experience
OrMasters degree and 6 years of Quality and/or Technology experience
OrBachelors degree and 8 years of Quality and/or Technology experience
OrAssociates degree and 10 years of Quality and/or Technology experience
OrHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years of Quality and/or Technology experience
Preferred Qualifications:
PhD or masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Bioengineering, Applied Math, Statistics, or similar field
6+ years of experience in development of data science applications and 2+ years of experience in a managerial role leading successful technical resources (data engineers, data scientists, data analysts)
Demonstrated experience in leading and implementing end-to-end digital solution delivery of advanced analytics, statistical modeling, natural language processing, artificial/augmented intelligence, and/or machine learning tools/techniques to address complex business problems
Expertise in comprehensive set of data analytics and modeling methods such as unsupervised and supervised approaches and solid understanding of the algorithms
Expertise with natural language processing and image processing with deep learning approaches.
Proficient in SQL, Python, R and familiar with big data approaches
Familiarity and background with biotechnology processes and regulatory requirements
Familiarity with DevOps and good software practices (i.e. version control, continuous integration, test driven development)
Excellent problem solving, storytelling, and communication skills with the ability to explain technical details for the business
Self-starter with the ability to tackle several projects at a time and comfort and agility with changes in business priorities
Intellectual curiosity with ability to learn new concepts, algorithms, and technology rapidly as needs arise

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $152,838 - $181,535.
