Senior Scientist – Antibody Generation

We are seeking a motivated Senior Scientist to join our Therapeutic Antibodies Department within Therapeutic Proteins Division. In this position the scientist will be a part of the Antibody Generation group to carry out activities of monoclonal antibodies isolation from Regeneron’s VelocImmune™ mice, collaborating with screening teams to identify clones with desirable properties for future protein therapeutics development or critical research reagents to support pre-clinical programs. This is an opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a strong background in B-cell immunology, antibody isolations, cell-culture and experience in laboratory automation to join our dynamic and collaborative team.

As a Senior Scientist, a typical day might include the following:

• Performing hybridoma generation and antibody isolations, designing and performing experiments related to B-cell isolation and antibody generation, including primary cell culture and antibody characterization

• Immuno-screening by ELISA, flow cytometry, and other cell-based assays

• Operating high-throughput automation methods

• Performing rodent lymphoid tissue harvests and cardiac puncture bleeds

• Analyzing experimental data and preparing technical presentations

• You are able to collaborate and communicate effectively with other groups to advance antibodies through the pipeline

• You are excited to conduct research to address fundamental questions that relates to existing technologies and design pilot experiments to test new ideas as part of the team for the VelocImmune® therapeutic antibody development

• You are self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment

• You have excellent written and oral communication skills and proficiency in data analysis

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a BS/BA and 8-10+ years of relevant experience or an MA/MS and 5-7+ years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. with 0-4+ years of relevant experience in immunology, cell biology, or a related field. We need someone with a strong background in B-cell immunology and relevant experimental techniques such as flow cytometry, cell isolations and primary B-cell cultures. Experience with Hybridoma generation, antibody isolation, or single-cell technologies preferred. Must be comfortable working with rodents, experience preferred. Experience with immuno-screening such as ELISA or using cell-based assays such as high-content imaging is desirable.
