What you will do:

  • Participate in the design and development of application based presentations
  • Work closely with the Account Executive team to build the sales pipeline within your territory
  • Serve as the Applications Demo Lab Manager within your territory
  • Work closely with the product management team to identify new and novel applications that make the Alto differentiated from competitor instruments
  • Help provide scientific technical support to clients on an as needed basis, serving as their application expert
  • Help organize and maintain the publication library and leverage it for commercial opportunities
  • Form collaborations with key opinion leaders; co-publish with key opinion leaders
  • Build long term relationships across the industry
  • Perform on-site demonstrations with clients as needed
  • Perform technical presentations at customer sites
  • Help drive adoption of our label-free analysis products
  • Work with the marketing organization to develop content 


Our ideal candidate has:

  • Hands-on experience running biochemical and biophysical analysis techniques
  • Excited and motivated to travel 
  • 3+ years of experience in a field applications role for scientific instruments or other technical products
  • Excellent communication and customer relation skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
  • Strong desire to work with people in a variety of situations
  • An enthusiastic attitude while demonstrating dedication to hard work and the ability to perform under pressure, able to adapt to last-minute changes 
  • Previous experience in academic, industrial research or development setting
  • Previous experience with CRM software
  • Has excellent organizational and time management skills to be able to perform a wide variety of tasks effectively
