The Audit Lead is a key member of the Security Risk Compliance (SRC) - IT Risk and Governance team and works closely with various IT teams and Gilead's Internal Audit team to support completion of the IT Internal Audits and remediation activities. They will provide expertise of IT Internal Auditing to provide support to the IT Auditees during the audits and completion of relevant IT Audit remediation activities.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead and enhance the IT Audit Management program which supports IT Auditees during Internal Audits
  • Liaison with key IT Risk stakeholders to provide needed expertise and direction required to ensure IT Audits are completed adequately and timely
  • Assist in the assessment of the impact of audit findings, provide consultative support to system managers and support teams, and monitor remediation and action plans
  • Lead the ongoing management of IT Audit Remediation activities
  • Lead training and awareness of IT Audit Management program model and support
  • Assist with Research and special projects
  • Provide expertise around IT system controls as needed to IT Auditees
  • Support other risk and compliance activities as needed


Basic Qualifications:

High School Degree and Eleven Years Experience OR Associate's Degree and Nine Years Experience OR Bachelor's Degree and Seven Years Experience OR Master's Degree and Five Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years hands on experience with performing IT Internal Audits
  • Knowledge of IT Systems and Controls
  • Experience with assisting with the coordination of internal and/or external audits a plus
  • Strong business and technology acumen; solid grasp of general IT computer and application controls, IT platforms and related services
  • Highly organized, results-oriented, and attentive to details
  • Ambitious, proactive, independent, and responsive
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation, and diplomacy skills
  • CISA Certification a plus
