About the role:

Join Takeda as a Director, Brand Strategy and HCP Promotion where you will lead the strategic development and tactical execution of HCP personal promotion plans. As a part of the GI Business Unit (GIBU) Franchise Team, you will report into the Sr. Director of Brand Strategy and Provider Marketing and will lead a team to develop and execute the HCP promotion (personal and non-personal) plan leveraging digital, data, and technology while coordinating across other Marketing verticals. Importantly, you will be an integral member of a high-performing team with a passion for supporting people living with Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and Crohn’s Disease (CD).

How you will contribute:
  • Coordinate Brand Planning process for team from situational analysis through executive leadership review. Own the HCP customer promotional strategy, and continuously drive development and execution of effective programs across specific segments that can differentially drive performance.

  • Support LCM programming by owning key workstreams or special projects as needed during the planning process. Incorporate LCM launch communications and creative into the current set of brand communications for a smooth and synergistic transition to our customers.

  • Partner closely with launch team to lead HCP team to ensure strong launch messaging and creative development and execution.

  • In an increasingly changing environment, lead competitive readiness work to ensure the Brand Team is proactively preparing across all functions and coordinating with the Global Brand Team.

  • Effectively lead and develop team of direct reports and outside agencies to meet expected project objectives and drive accountability to agreed upon standards.

  • Remain current with customer, IBD treatment options and landscape activities to contribute insights and perspectives to the broader team and brand plan.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10+ years experience with increasing responsibilities in sales, marketing or related function in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry

  • 5+ years leading a team with increasing responsibilities. Ability to set priorities and demonstrate leaderships traits

  • Deep understanding and proven experience in the effective engagement of HCPs leveraging all channels

  • Experience in developing marketing strategy and aligned tactical plans with an ability to effectively communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies.

  • Ability to understand and effectively and compliantly communicate scientific / medical concepts of drug products to key external audiences

  • Experience leveraging data and analytics to distill insights and drive data-based decision making. Strong financial acumen with experience in managing large budgets

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into action; excellent analytical skills and an ability to communicate complex issues in a simple way and to orchestrate plans to resolve issues and mitigate risks

  • Exhibit knowledge of, and adhere to, all applicable healthcare laws and regulations, industry practices and company policies related to pharmaceutical marketing and promotion

Preferred:
  • Experience in Specialty and/or Immunology therapeutic area preferred

  • Proven track record in specialty markets and experience with product life cycle management is desirable

Travel Requirements:
  • Requires approximately 20% travel driven by business needs. Includes willingness to travel to various internal and external meetings and field visits which will include some overnight stays. Some weekend and/or international travel may be required
