IT Contracts Consultant

General Scope and Summary

Sage Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker for a key role as Contracts Manager.The Contracts Manager Consultant will work with the Contracts team within the Legal department of Sage to administer and coordinate contracts to cover a leave of absence.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate software licenses as well as a variety of other contracts, including vendor agreements, master service agreements, consultant agreements, etc. in a timely and business-oriented fashion.

• Meet multiple deadlines and juggle multiple projects simultaneously, efficiently, and proactively; able to coordinate between several teams and departments as well as third parties.

Education, Experience and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution.

• 5+ years experience working in contracts management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with and proven track record of preparing, reviewing, and finalizing software licenses and other contracts, including vendor agreements, master service agreements, consultant agreements, etc.

• Must be organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Team-oriented with sound judgment, self-motivation, and willingness to take initiative.

• Ability to operate independently and seek out guidance and expertise internally and externally as needed.

• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and independently analyze information.

• Maintain confidentiality in all matters.

• Experience with Novatus contracts system and Oracle preferred.

• Experience working in-house at a pharmaceutical or biotech company.

• Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and online research.
