We are looking for a Director of Enterprise Procurement Transformation to join our diverse and global Procurement organization in Lake County, IL.

 

The Director, Enterprise Procurement Transformation is responsible for leading and driving execution of Enterprise Procurement initiatives, integrating initiatives across the six major workstreams the  Process, Technology, Data & Analytics, Operating Model and People Experience . The role is responsible for leading key, strategic, transformational initiatives, projects, and innovations that align with Procurement’s mission to be recognized as a value originator. This role will create competitive advantage for AbbVie through increased agility and value creation.

 

Responsibilities:

·     Manages key, high-visibility strategic initiatives for Procurement, globally in alignment with AbbVie business objectives

·     Drives integration of multiple program workstreams to deliver on Procurement’s transformational objectives

·     Leads and drives the execution of enterprise strategic Procurement initiatives

·     Represents Procurement in partnership with key businesses and senior leaders to drive alignment between business strategy and Procurement activity

·     Builds roadmap and contributes to Long Range Planning in support Procurement transformation

·     Influences key stakeholders across all levels, including the Vice President and above level

·     People leader responsibilities

Program Management & Change Management Office

·     Designs, Builds and Leads Program & Change Management Office to:

·     Manage execution of the initiatives, coordinating project prioritization and resource allocation

·     Performs project reporting, project risk/issue monitoring & mitigation, etc.

·     Drives change management and stakeholder engagement as required, Drives key meetings, workshops, interviews, etc. Includes roles such as Program Management, Change Management, Communications

·     Drive positive change projects by analyzing performance metrics and dashboards for continuous improvement with Procurement

·     Value Reporting & Financial Management Ensures Transformation program is funded and operates efficiently against the financial plan and budget.

·     Appropriately raises risks and issues related to funding and budget constraints.

·     Conceptualizes, designs, and builds transformation reporting framework to ensure Procurement Leadership Team is updated on overall health of transformation

·     Aggregates, Rolls-Up, integrates data appropriately across procurement organization and support functions such as Finance and serves as single-source of truth for Transformation

·     Partners with Finance, Category leads etc. and leverages systems such as Sievo, Arravo, Provalido, etc.

Market Intelligence

·     Environmental scanning & market analysis of future needs. Acts as “sensing function” for Procurement leadership team on market trends and direction

·     Partners with benchmarking, consulting companies and manages necessary subscriptions

·     Provides guidance on strategic initiatives based on market trends

·     Builds and maintains dynamic repository for market insights

Qualifications

 

·   Bachelor’s degree in science, Computer Science, Business, or Project Management required. Master’s degree in Science, Business, or Project Management preferred

·     15+ years’ experience in managing large complex programs and cross-functional teams.  Procurement experience, desired.

·    Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills, including the ability mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, and executive

·   Requires excellent relationship management and communication skills, seasoned judgment, tact, and the ability to work effectively with personnel at varying levels within the organization.

·    Must have extensive experience conceiving, creating, and delivering business presentations to senior management; strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills; strong organizational skills with a focus on details; demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.

·     Requires strong people leadership skills

·     Relevant experience in budget and financial management, contracts, process improvements, and/or compliance.

·   Recognized leader in standard business procedures such as program management, portfolio review, finance, and budgeting. Excellent cross-functional negotiating skills.

·     Expert technology skills (e.g., MS Office software, SharePoint Skills) required
