Summary

As our Biostatistics Intern, you will conduct biostatistical research related to our precision medicine approach and collaborate with Bioinformatics in analyzing clinical and biomarker data.  You will learn about the clinical trials and development of Dx during your internship while providing hands-on statistical analysis and validation.  You will also bring in up-to-date statistical knowledge and research in the areas of, but not limited to, Bayesian study design and analysis, and adaptive enrichment design that are relevant to the company’s vision. The intern will report to and work closely with VP, Biostatistics.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

You will primarily be responsible for learning from and working with the guidance of our VP biostatistics, and team members as to how to plan and execute clinical data analysis. Specifically, you'll:

  • Attend study team meetings, when required.
  • Review key study documents.
  • Clean and manipulate clinical data.
  • Create a mock table and/or program a table using clinical data to meet a study objective.
  • Conduct exploratory analyses using clinical and biomarker data from multiple studies.  
  • Present a professional summary of your experience for an internal team.

 

Education and Experience

  • To be eligible, the intern must be a Ph.D. student in statistics or biostatistics.
  • Must be in good scholastic standing (3.0+ GPA or equivalent).
  • Availability for an assignment for a minimum of 12-16 weeks over the course of the summer.
  • Statistical programming skills with SAS or R.
  • Advanced statistical knowledge and concept and good communication skills.
  • Prior experience with data visualization and presentation.
  • Internship applicants must be enrolled in an accredited PhD program for the entire duration of their internship.

The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $25.00 - $40.00.  Individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
