Senior Manager Finance, US Financial Compliance Systems

The Senior Finance Manager, US Financial Compliance manages the financial compliance systems used to aggregate and analyze data involving Healthcare Providers (HCP) and Healthcare Organizations (HCO) for Federal Sunshine and US State Reporting. 

The role stewards the full spectrum of financial compliance data including data collection, review, remediation, and reporting, as well as overseeing process governance by developing and maintaining process related documentation. This role participates in systems and integration projects and partners closely with many cross functional teams including BTS, FSS, CCG/BSG, PCYC, GDO, and R&D.  This role leads a dedicated team of 2 financial analysts.  

This role is responsible for ensuring statutory requirements accompanying federal and state transparency laws, and AbbVie policies, are accurately translated to AbbVie systems requirements. 

 Responsibilities:

·       Ensure the financial compliance data submissions from various sources are received and processed timely and accurately while validating and performing completeness checks.

·       Analyze the financial compliance data identifying patterns, trends, and data irregularities by utilizing various tools including Power BI, Data3Sixty, and the MCR reporting tool.  Perform root cause analysis as required ensuring financial compliance data accuracy.

·       Complete and maintain financial compliance data flow mapping and data reconciliations by source.

·       Demonstrate business owner leadership and Subject Matter Expertise for the financial compliance systems including but not limited to Statepend Datamart, MedPro MCR, Rapid Zone, and iSight case management.

·       Ensure HCP and HCO master data accuracy and completeness in related source system data (SAP, Concur, Veeva, Educational Materials).

·       Utilize Power BI and Data3Sixty analytical tools to produce reports, queries, and data analytics internally and for external stakeholders.

·       Lead and influence cross-functional end-to-end HCP and HCO Procure to Pay workstreams ensuring downstream impacts of projects on financial compliance systems is appropriately planned and incorporated in project plans.

·       Team lead, often partnering with cross functional stakeholders such as R&D, Global Disbursements Operations, PCYC, Aesthetics, CCG/BSG and others, on US enterprise system integration projects.

  • Achieve Federal Sunshine and applicable state law transparency reporting obligations timely and accurately.
  • Implement and lead continuous improvement initiatives and ensure successful adoption. Responsible for communication, change management and training initiatives to increase reporting efficiency and support compliance.
  • Self-starter with ability to operate independently, drive processes, identify and implement process improvements, and establish and adjust priorities to achieve objectives and operate with speed and agility.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management, ensuring processes are consistently applied and executed to laws/regulations and policies ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely submission. 
  • ·       Leads and mentors a team of 2 Financial Analysts.

     


    ·       Bachelor’s degree in systems, finance, or accounting.  MBA and/or CPA/CMA a plus.

    ·       8+ years of financial experience demonstrating independent critical thinking skills. Diligence, independent and pro-active thought, and decision-making skills are necessary. 

    ·       Knowledge of the Procure to Pay process, SAP, and/or SRM preferred.

    ·       Strong systems skills preferred e.g., Excel, Oracle, Power BI

    ·       Project Management skills a plus
