The Marketing Analytics and Business Insights (MABI) function supports AbbVie’s US organization and is comprised of highly respected researchers, analysts, data scientists and strategists who are committed to being best-in-class within the biopharmaceutical industry. Major Responsibilities
The Market Access Insights (MAI) organization within MABI plays an instrumental role in shaping market access strategies for all of AbbVie’s domestic brands. As a key member of Emerging Channel analytics team, this individual will provide analytics and research addressing high impact and high urgency portfolio-wide issues that inform AbbVie’s market access strategies and future readiness. The individual will be responsible for conducting and guiding the communication of findings, results, and recommendations of modeling/ data analysis/research to Market Access leadership and US Leadership. The individual will lead and collaborate with internal cross-functional team from Marketing, Finance, Forecasting, IT, Legal and Pricing, while ensuring the quality and accuracy of all analytical results. The role requires strong data analytics/ modeling capabilities.
Key areas of functional scope include:
CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with a concentration in a quantitative field, such as Engineering, Math, CS, Economics or similar. · 5+ years of relevant experience required. · Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, strong business acumen, superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and creativity in problem-solving. · Excellent oral and written executive-level communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills · Proven ability to effectively collaborate and influence in a heavily matrixed environment · Demonstrated ability to manage a wide variety of projects and multiple priorities · Experience managing external vendors · Experience in pharmaceutical or a related industry is a plus PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Advanced degree (MA, MS, MBA, PhD) preferred · Working knowledge of multivariate statistics and analytical software · Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical data sources (IMS, Symphony Health, HIRC, HSG, etc.). · 2 years of pharmaceutical market access experience and subject matter expertise with Health Plans, PBMs, Hospital Systems, Specialty Pharmacies and Healthcare Policy stakeholders. · 3 years of pharmaceutical marketing insights experience with significant expertise with Physician and Consumer stakeholders
