Director, Commercial Analytics & Insights

The Role:

The Director of Commercial Analytics & Insights will play a critical role in the success of the CSL Seqirus NA Commercial Operations organization. You will build and lead the group's first Analytics and Insights team. You will be responsible for creating new Analytical approaches to solve critical challenges and enable ComOps to make optimal data-driven decisions. We ask that you have a mix of the ability to build and lead teams, advanced analytics skills, and strong communication skills to partner with key stakeholders across ComOps.

You will focus on (but not limited to) Forecasting, Sales Force Optimization, and ROI/Impact analyses and will lead the assessment and development of adapting vendor methodologies to ensure they meet the needs of a NA vaccines organization. This requires a deep understanding of the US Vaccines market and Advanced Analytics methodologies.

The Opportunity:

• Responsible for leading an Analytics & Insights team focused on the integration of insight and analysis to promote the US Commercial business.

• Lead the development of an innovative long-term advanced analytics strategy that will create insights to inform, advise, and refine US commercial strategy & tactics

• Identify analytical solutions for key strategic needs/questions to support the full book of business in the US.

• Present results and recommendations to various cross-functional teams as well as Sr. Leadership.

• Responsible for designing a forecasting strategy for Seqirus NA.  Survey all existing short- and long-term forecasts that are built through the year.  The goal will be to evolve annual Forecasting Calendar to deliver necessary forecasts throughout the year, and plan for how they will interact with each other appropriately. 

• You will oversee a team responsible for delivering accurate forecasts with the appropriate methodologies, applying the right supporting data & insights.

• Lead the process to identify appropriate data necessary to support analytics solutions and translating all the information into actionable insights to guide strategic decision-making.

• Continuously evaluate and deploy the appropriate vendors, tools, methodologies, and analytical techniques to ensure high quality, timely and cost-effective output.

• Proactively plan and execute commercial data modeling and scenario analysis using a mix of secondary and primary research techniques.

• Deliver high quality, timely and actionable insights that characterize opportunities and risks and translate into clear management recommendations with associated implications for the business.

• Analysis of marketing tactics to assess return on investment to optimize investment in CSL Behring’s US portfolio of commercial assets.

• Support franchise marketing teams as a strategic business partner and member of the contributing teams.

• Responsible for oversight and effective management of all team members to include but not limited to the following:

• Annual objective setting

• Mid-year and end of year reviews

• Coaching and counselling as appropriate

• Employee development

• Provides timely constructive feedback to ensure quality of work meets or exceeds company standards

• Responsible for assuring work is completed in a customer focused manner.

Skills and Experience:

• Master's degree or above in analytics/mathematics related discipline

• 10+ years' commercial experience including analytics and forecasting.

• Vaccines, Pharmaceutical, or Biotech experience strongly preferred.

• Management/demonstrated leadership experience
