Associate Scientist (Protein Expression Sciences)

We are looking for an Associate Scientist to join the Protein Expression Sciences team. In this exciting role you will operate automated liquid handlers to support our VelociMab antibody discovery efforts through next-generation sequencing (NGS) and development of novel protein and antibody therapeutics in various alternative formats.

As an Associate Scientist, a typical day may include:

• Perform high throughput molecular biology techniques including PCR, cloning, DNA isolation, and NGS.

• Operate and troubleshoot automated protocols on systems from, but not limited to, Hamilton Robotics and HighRes Biosolutions.

• Complete NGS-based library preparation and characterization protocols, using established molecular biology techniques and novel solutions.

• Identify and implement new technologies to accelerate NGS workflows.

• Record data in an electronic lab notebook and inventory management system.

This role may be for you if you:

• Would like to be actively engaged in laboratory investigation doing hands-on bench work.

• Exhibit adept technical and problem-solving skills.

• Have excellent communication and organizational skills, exhibit meticulous attention to detail.

• Are comfortable working in a dynamic environment where priorities can change from day to day.

To be considered for this role, you must have a B.S or M.S. in Molecular Biology or related field with 4+ years of laboratory experience. Experience with Illumina sequencing, DNA library preparation and automation. Familiarity with next-generation sequencing approaches and technology. Familiarity with automated liquid handlers is desired. Strong communication and organizational skills are also required.

$66,400.00 - $103,800.00
