Sr. Scientist, Analytical Chemistry (LC/MS)

We are seeking a highly motivated Sr. Scientist to join the Analytical Chemistry Group of Regeneron Pharmaceutical Inc. at Tarrytown, NY.

The Sr. Scientist will be working in an innovative liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC/MS) lab, developing and performing top-down and bottom-up mass spectrometry with the state of art LC-MS instruments for therapeutic drug characterization. In this role, you will focus on the biochemical characterization of therapeutic proteins at all stages of development. You will develop and implement LC/MS based methods for protein primary structure elucidation. This will include peptide mapping, disulfide linkage determination, carbohydrate profiling, and post-translational modifications, sequence variant analysis.

A day in the life of a Sr Scientist may look like:

• Develop primarily LC/MS based analytical methods to support the development of monoclonal antibody-based therapeutic proteins, bispecific antibodies, Fc-fusion proteins, and other modalities (adeno-associated virus, mRNA, siRNA, etc.).
• Conduct analytical experiments and analyze LC-MS data to elucidate the quality attributes of therapeutic protein candidates, drug products and critical reagents.
• Develop LC-MS based bioanalytical strategies and high-throughput methods for quantitation of different types of drug candidates, including small molecule, peptides, oligonucleotides, monoclonal antibody, antibody-drug conjugate and other alternative novel modalities in biological matrices to support preclinical and early-stage clinical PK study.
• Explore novel analytical and bioanalysis technologies and emerging platforms to meet the needs of an evolving portfolio that may include novel molecular modalities and new therapeutic area.
• Collaborate with therapeutic function areas to support drug discovery.

In Order to be Considered Qualified for this role you must have:

A Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or a related field and 0-5 postdoctoral experience, or a MS degree with 5+ year experience or a BS degree 7+ of relevant experience. Required experience should include liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry, with proven track record of successfully developing MS, LC-MS or LC-MS/MS methods. Familiarity with sophisticated liquid chromatography mass spectrometry technologies and relevant software for data analysis is also required.

$103,600.00 - $169,000.00
