The Role

Moderna is seeking an experienced, agile, and highly motivated operational excellence professional to manage and improve key business processes in the Commercial and Medical Affairs organization. The successful candidate will be a highly skilled process improvement individual with a customer-focused approach and the ability to deliver results working cross-functionally with both internal and external stakeholders. The nature of the work will ensure the high visibility while working across the global regions and various therapeutic/support functions.

The lifecycle of projects assigned to this role will establish a continuous improvement program by partnering with leaders to evaluate and prioritize critical business processes within the medical and commercial teams, as well as, to oversee a program to track progress and rapidly deliver measurable benefits. The successful candidate will have strong experience and credentials in systematic process analysis and debottlenecking and significant experience in leading change and ensuring adoption across the enterprise.

Heres What Youll Do

  • Apply Lean Six Sigma Blackbelt (or similar) expertise in process development across commercial and medical affairs organization ensuring robust business process that enable our centralized global to local operating model.

  • Remediate existing technical and business processes to deliver a streamlined, transparent, effective process with meaningful reporting and KPIs that allow for continuous improvement.

  • Develop new processes as they arise due to our continued growth to deliver a streamlined, transparent, effective process with meaningful reporting and KPIs that allow for continuous improvement.

  • Execute nimbly and thoroughly to ensure processes and tools are applicable and appropriate across regions, countries and therapeutic areas.

  • Develop and implement reporting tools and dashboards across the organization

  • Develop insightful SMART KPIs across the organization to measure and continuously improve our processes.

  • Partner with leadership to prioritize processes and activities for remediation.

  • Work cross functionally to develop robust training and change management programs to ensure adoption across the team.

  • Develop and maintain key relationships across a broad sphere of influence, both internally and externally, to ensure organizational goals are met.

Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in a scientific, business, legal discipline or related field

  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent)

  • 7+ years of job-related experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences or related industry

  • Experience in process debottlenecking analysis and execution

  • Strong organizational, analytical and prioritization skills for the management of multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, database, presentation software (MS Office skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint)

  • A digital first mindset, creative in using IT solutions to drive efficiency wherever possible
