Senior Network Engineer

To be successful, you should be meticulous and detail-oriented, with excellent technical and network skills. You should be skilled at network documentation.

This individual is a technical architect with a solid, working understanding of modern corporate network and firewall technologies and topologies. This individual ensures that system hardware, network, security, and software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff and partners.

Responsibilities

• Architect and manage networking infrastructure for offices, datacenter, and remote services with performance and security as the highest requirements.
• Configure, test, and deploy network configuration management and monitoring services.
• Second-level support for end-user systems and applications issue.
• Implement network security policies.
• Cross-train group members to bolster single sources of knowledge.
• Clearly document and describe new and existing systems for supportability
• Working collaboratively with individuals and groups within IT and other departments.

Position Requirements

• 5+ years’ Network Engineer work experience
• 2+ years’ experience with implementation and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewall
• Senior level network engineering and troubleshooting – OSPF, LACP, IPSEC/SSL VPN, Load Balancers, TCP/IP, WIFI and RoceV2.
• Advanced knowledge of network architectures, protocols, and network security.
• Advanced threat and security knowledge of firewall and IDS/IDP (Palo Alto).
• Senior-level experience with large-scale, high-bandwidth HPC networking.
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a strong ability to plan, prioritize, and execute projects independently or in coordination with other teams.
• Excellent ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences with a positive, collaborative, and enablement-focused attitude.
• A Plus is experience with VMware, and Azure/AWS.
• Experience in design and/or implementing of Zero Trust networking a plus.
• Working experience in SOX and ISO regulated environments a plus.
