This is a technical position in biostatistics and the candidate will be responsible for developing statistical analysis plans for early and late-stage clinical development and medical affairs studies, analyzing data, preparing reports, and contributing to clinical study designs. This position is for a motivated and pro-active candidate who can function successfully. The Sr. Biostatistician level is for a new graduate with a PhD in Biostatistics or with a PhD in Statistics or for PhD candidates with up to 1 year of experience.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • The Sr. Biostatistician level needs to be energetic and prepared to learn fast from the senior colleagues in the department
  • Responsible for statistical sections of clinical trial protocols and for statistical analysis plans
  • Responsible for statistical plans for regulatory submissions
  • Member of clinical development project teams:  Provide statistical input to all clinical development plans to ensure optimal scientific rigor of all clinical study protocols and global clinical development strategies
  • Analyze and interpret trial data using SAS software; generate tables, figures, and reports; conduct modelling and simulation to help design clinical trials and analysis plans; contribute to scientific publications
  • Collaborate with data management to ensure high-quality preparation of study databases; responsible for statistical programming
  • Identify, qualify, and manage relationships with statistical consultants

 

Job Requirements

 

  • PhD in statistics, biostatistics, or closely related field 
  • Capable of collaboratively engaging with external 3rd parties and experienced in drug development.
  • Flexible in the face of shifting needs and/or priorities.
  • Able to interface well with all levels of personnel, including peers and other department heads.
  • Familiarity with computerized systems and compliance requirements and strong skills in SAS programing.
  • Ability to produce high quality results across multiple studies and prioritize demands.

Sr. Biostatistician Base Salary range $110K - $120K
