 We are currently looking to add a Senior Business Analyst to our team in Information Technology.   In this role you will be responsible for:

As a vital member of the Microbiologics IT team, the Business Analyst assumes a critical role in overseeing and guiding key company projects related to processes and technology. They are responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, including assessing feasibility, defining project scope, specifying business requirements, coordinating vendor selection, supporting solution and design, and ultimately closing the project. Throughout this process, they actively contribute to improving business processes, managing change, and supporting the adoption of solutions.

The Business Analyst serves as a change agent, entrusted with the responsibility of creating and delivering value on IT initiatives. They collaborate closely with business stakeholders, the Corporate Systems Architect, and the Business Applications Team to accomplish this objective.  

 

What can I expect in this role?

In this position, you will have the option to work remote on Monday's and Friday's and will be onsite in our St. Cloud, MN office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday's. 

 Some key duties in this role include:

  • Gather and document detailed business requirements through interviews and discussions with process owners, SMEs and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with IT project stakeholders including users, SMEs, Corporate Systems Architect, Business Applications team and consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications consistent with enterprise architecture and industry best practices.
  • Conduct extensive research and analysis of business processes and platforms to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Partner with the Business Applications team to ensure that the technical design aligns with customer needs and business requirements.
  • Develop and oversee quality assurance testing including validation plan and validation report to ensure project scope and acceptance criteria are met.
  • Drive enterprise technology adoption efforts through improvements to user-interface, user training and sharing best practices to enhance overall user experience.
  • Partner with users and the IT team during all phases of projects to accurately document, test and implement required system features.
  • Keep up-to-date on enterprise application (NetSuite, Salesforce, etc.) functionality by attending conferences, seminars and reviewing product release notes.
  • Create training documentation and process diagrams for existing and new business processes.
  • Collaborate and establish relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure buy-in and successful implementation of changes.
  • Articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Facilitate discussions, find common ground, and help stakeholders reach consensus to move projects forward.
  • Actively listen and empathize with stakeholders to establish trust and collaboration.
  • Establish a communication plan, including moderating internal meetings; stakeholder status updates; and other communications as required during the project.
  • Articulate the pros and cons of alternative approaches to stakeholders to find mutually beneficial solutions with a focus on value.
  • Build effective relationships with IT colleagues and cross-functional departments to develop a “joint” vision in support of the systems.
  • Establish a Feasibility Assessment/Scope for proposed company change initiatives that involve business process and technology.
  • Create project plans and hold the team accountable to deliver against the plan while managing key project constraints such as Scope, Resources, Schedule, Budget (P&L), Quality, Risks, and Issues.
  • Manage and balance business stakeholders’ and client expectations regarding schedule, cost, and scope.
  • Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Perform other duties within the Information Technology department or other areas as assigned.

Here is what we are looking for:

  • Education/Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Business Administration.
    • 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst working with a major ERP system.
    • Experience working with NetSuite ERP or Salesforce CRM preferred.
    • Experience working with Agile and Waterfall Software Development methodology.
    • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and execute projects.
    • Demonstrated skills with functional design and technical design.
    • Experience with Visio or other business process definition tools.
    • Knowledge of relational database concepts and basic SQL skills.
