Job Details

The Immunology and Inflammation group is seeking a motivated Sr Scientist to join a highly collaborative team working on type 2 diseases (allergy, Asthma, COPD) and B cell biology. You will have the opportunity to support a broad pipeline by executing in vivo experiments in mice as well as in vitro assays.

As a Sr Scientist in the Immunology and Inflammation group, your typical day might include:

  • Designing, planning, and/or performing in vivo studies using mouse models of type 2 inflammation.

  • Conducting in vitro experiments on primary cells.

  • Flow cytometry, ELISA, MSD and/or Luminex.

  • Developing new methods or technologies and troubleshooting.

  • Analyzing biological data using GraphPad Prism, FlowJo, SoftMax Pro, and Meso Scale Discovery (MSD) Workbench software.

  • Interpreting, analyzing and presenting research data and working in a fast-paced, result oriented research environment.

  • Inter-departmental collaborations.

This role may be for you if:

  • You effectively collaborate and communicate with team members to coordinate complex in vivo experiments, and with other departments to facilitate cross-functional efforts

  • You are interested in studying novel methodologies based on protocol provided by literature, seminars, and other scientists. 

  • You are highly organized and motivated with attention to the details. 

To be considered for this position, you must have a Master’s degree in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline with at least 8 years ofrelevant lab research experience or PhD with 3 years.  Training in the proper handling and care of mice, general surgical techniques, and the collection of blood and tissue samples. Experience in tissue culture (maintenance of transformed and primary cells), cell-based assays, ELISA, and MSD is highly desirable.  Maintenance of laboratory equipment.  Basic computer literacy and experience collecting and analyzing biological data on the computer are required.

Salary Range (annually)

$103,600.00 - $169,000.00
