The Gilead Business Services center in Raleigh's Research Triangle region will be home to some of the company's critical shared service teams in North America, including Information Technology, Global Financial Solutions, HR Operations and Procurement Services Desk. These functions provide the necessary support to ensure Gilead's business runs effectively and efficiently. The center will also be a catalyst for standardization of processes, digital transformation and technology optimization.

Essential Job Functions

Analyze business problems using data from multiple internal and external sources to provide insights to decision-makers and business stakeholders in domains including Finance, HR, Operations, Compliance and Legal

Design and Build new Data Lakes, Data Stores, Data Pipelines and Data Transformations, to deliver Data Products

Design and build Advanced Analytics solutions, including IoT solutions

Design and Build Web Applications in AWS cloud

Partner with Business as well as Data Scientists to deliver Predictive and Prescriptive Analytics, Anomaly Detection, Forecasting and Preventive Maintenance solutions

Work collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure project deliverables and timelines are met

Interact with business users, convert business requirements into technical and/or business solutions, lead pilots and Proof of Concepts

Actively participate and contribute in Strategy and Roadmap projects

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors in Computer Science, with 3-4 years of experience

Masters in Computer Science, Statistics or Math Majors, with 1-2 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in building Data Products

Proficiency in AWS Cloud services such as S3, IoT, Glue/DataBrew, RedShift, EMR, Lake formation, Lambda, Amplify etc.

Proficiency in Data Modeling, Data Mining and Data Engineering/Data Transformations using Spark, PySpark

Familiarity with JSON and Parquet data formats

Proficiency in Full Stack Development in AWS Cloud; Frontend - Python, JavaScript, Vue.js, React; Backend - Node.js, Python, PHP, Ruby; AWS Amplify

Familiarity with Web Analytics, Web scraping etc.

Familiarity with Reporting tools such as Tableau/ThoughtSpot, and Data virtualization tools such as Starburst

Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to collect, organize and analyze significant amounts of information

Strong Business Partnering and presentation skills

Ability to work in an agile environment

Invest in Continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the advancements in the field of Advanced Analytics

Life Science experience is a plus

Gilead and Kite Careers

The salary range for this position is: $83,725.00 - $108,350.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans*.
